No one working full-time should live in poverty.

Economic inequality has reached a crisis point in the U.S.

We know that working families make less now than they did three decades ago. Over the same time period, the hourly wages of wealthy Americans grew by an average of 41%.

We also know that economic opportunity is inextricably linked to racial justice and racism in America. People of color are disproportionately impacted: more than half of African-American workers and close to 60% of Latino workers make less than $15 an hour.

Bend the Arc is kicking off its #JewsFor15 campaign to mobilize our supporters to join the Fight for $15, an innovative coalition that is dedicated to raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and protecting the right to form a union.

Take the first step: sign the pledge and join the campaign.

By speaking up for the Fight for $15 movement, we are building on the legacy of our Jewish ancestors, who fought for higher wages and union rights, and we are sending a powerful message to elected officials that these issues still matter deeply to our community today.

The Fight for $15 is already winning some truly significant victories in some cities and states. But the vast majority of workers in America are still not paid a living wage and the federal minimum wage has been frozen at $7.25 for years.

In 2016, voters and lawmakers in five states and more than eight cities—including California, New York, Oregon and Washington, D.C.—will consider proposals to raise minimum wages to $15 an hour. We’ll be there to help win historic victories.

If thousands of us raise our voices together in support, we can help keep the movement’s momentum going by advocating for change in our local communities and creating pressure for federal action.

Let us know you’re in this fight with us and we’ll share updates and more ways to take action. Add your name to to join #JewsFor15 now.

Thank you. Now, help us spread the word.

Will you ask your family and friends to sign, too? If thousands of us raise our voices together in support, we can deliver a powerful message to our legislators and create pressure for federal action to raise the wage across America.
